My name is Eoghan Furey from Buncrana, Co Donegal, Eire. I am currently studying for a Ph.D. in the area of Wireless Location Detection under the supervision of Dr Kevin Curran and Professor Paul McKevitt. My studies are taking place in the Intelligent Systems Research Centre in the University of Ulster's Magee Campus in Derry and my fulltime scholarship is kindly funded by the VCRS(Vice Chancellor Research Scholarship) for overseas students!, check a map!

My research is attempting to improve upon the accuracy of current Wi-Fi location estimates. It intends to use the movements history of people throughout a building as a means continuing to track people even when Wi-fi signals are scarce. See my 100 day review report and presentation for and my confirmation(8 months in) report and presentation further details.

My research interests are mainly in the area of Local Positioning Systems, Location Based Software, Wireless Sensor Networks and and Body Area Networks
